Att sätta PVK är ett av det vanligaste invasiva ingreppen som utförs på sjukhus.1 Även om det är ett vanligt ingrepp är placeringen av intravenösa venkatetrar fortfarande en komplex uppgift som är förknippad med komplikationer och risker för både patienter och vårdpersonal, såsom:

  • Blodspill och blodexponering
  • Kateterrelaterade komplikationer som dislokation, infiltration, extravasation, flebit och infektion2
  • Nålsticksskador och relaterade infektioner

Eftersom patientåtkomst är så vanligt förekommande spelar PVK:er en viktig roll för att förbättra infusionsbehandlingens kvalitet. B. Brauns perifera IV-katetrar kan bidra till att förebygga många av dessa risker och följdkostnader.

Introcan Safety® 3 is a peripheral IV catheter with a passive fully automatic needlestick protection and multi-access blood control septum that helps to protect clinicians and patients from blood exposure. It is a single-use device to generate intravascular and tissue access to sample blood, monitor blood pressure, or administer fluids and blood intravascularly. Introcan Safety® 3 is also indicated for subcutaneous infusion therapies and 325 psi power injector applications (14G – 24G).

It is a single-use device to generate intravascular and tissue access to sample blood, monitor blood pressure, or administer fluids and blood intravascularly. No gender or age related limitations. Introcan Safety® can be used for adults, pediatrics and neonates.

No gender or age related limitations. Vasofix® Braunüle® / Certo can be used for adults, pediatrics and neonates.
